Is it safe to feeding after getting a steroid shot at the hospital...?

so i went to the hospital last night i had the worst sore throat and my entire body was hurting really bad.. i also kept getting hot and cold fevers...they saw me right away and the doctor said they would just give me a steroid shot i was in so much pain i TOTALY forgot to tell them that im feeding my 10 month old. so i got the shot..i came home and i did not feed i was too scared if it was bad for my baby so i just gave him formula. i would call the doctors office but i left my phone in my bfs car. my baby is crying and he keeps trying to pull my shirt down so he can eat and i feel SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad..it breaks my heart, how long does the shot last ...when would it be safe to start feeding again...
